Survey: Activity, Spending on Mobile IT Set To Skyrocket by 2013

Enterprises are aggressively embracing mobile IT, says a just-released survey of 1,000 IT managers in the US and the UK. By mid-2013, up to one-third of all firms will be working on four or more mobile projects at the same time, says the survey from Antenna Software. Survey: CDW Says Mobile Computing is “New Normal” for Federal Employees

BYOD is becoming the new normal for government workers. More than half of federal employees use at least one mobile device at work, according to the Federal Mobility Report by CDW Government LLC.  Further, an off-the-charts 99% of Federal IT workers said they had deployed a mobile project in their agency.

Survey: 28 Percent of U.S. Organizations Maintain, Manage Cloud, CDW Finds

CDW’s first Cloud Computing Tracking Poll found 28% of U.S. organizations are using cloud computing today, with most reporting (73 percent) their first step into cloud was implementation of a single cloud application. Respondents now implementing or maintaining cloud projects plan to spend no more than one-third of their IT budget (34%) on cloud by 2016.

Survey: Private Clouds, Mobile Top IT Priority List, Unisys Says

Private clouds and mobile support for enterprise IT are top IT priorities this year, according to polls by Unisys Corp.  Nearly half  (44%) of respondents said their top priority was cloud computing, with about one-quarter naming mobile devices were their primary IT focus for 2011.
