The LENS 1.2 provides messaging and data analysis visibility into business-to-business (B2B) and application-to-application (A2A) integration activities.

Specifically, LENS is designed to provide organizations an interactive and user-friendly view a wide array of components that go into A2A and B2B communications, including: hub B2B messages, message statistics, performance statistics, system monitors, trading partner set-up information, support call ticket information, billing information, alerts and notifications.

By providing this information, LENS also offers transparency between departments, as well as with an organization’s external partners, suppliers, and customers for functions, according to Lauri Hölttä, vice president of platform development for Liaison.

LENS 1.2  leverages the Liaison SOA cloud-based B2B platform and business integration solutions to provide better information about the status and results of an operation. Liaison Technologies’ B2B Data Exchange Platform (DXP) is a service oriented architecture (SOA)-based integration platform, built to be scalable and flexible.

Many of these core DXP architectures are available in the cloud as a system-to-systems integration architecture to power the LENS offering, including: .

  • Message archival makes 120 days of archived message data available on-line as standard (up to 10 years per EU regulations)
  • In-line translation translates between any of EDI, XML, flat file using standard or proprietary formats
  • Services choreography through the SOA pipeline
  • Message handling services (including advanced routing, choreography identification, advanced search identifier storage, message transformation and data transformation)
  • Advanced workflow engine allows for workflow-based choreography including exception management and user intervention
  • Data validation confirms standard and custom schema-based XML and flat files, format validation, data validation, all with configurable exception processes by trading relationship and transaction
  • Functional acknowledgement reconciliation and customized exception reporting

Leveraging this Liaison technology, LENS 1.2 allows businesses to monitor and review performance against SLAs (service level agreements), so they can quickly respond, as necessary.  The latest features enable lets any enterprise data source to be plugged in and monitored, so organizations can combine enterprise apps and B2B activity monitoring into a real-time single view that delivers notifications, reports, and analysis, Hölttä added.

LENS 1.2 also comes with:

  • an improved dashboard configuration with its intuitive drag and drop interface;
  • shared custom message filters:
  • message result grid layout sharing;
  • a multi-column message summary widget; and
  • date range search
