Schneider Electric’s Energy Management and Solutions business unit plans to implement Cloud9’s on-demand business analytics to provide its sales managers with a single performance management dashboard. Cloud( will provide will provide integrated to critical sales and customer data, including orders-to-date, shipments-to-date, weighted funnel (pipeline) and attainment versus quota, according to Shelley Galloway, a CRM business specialist at Schneider Electric.

Notably, the adoption of Cloud9 follows the company’s use of another leading SaaS solution, SalesForce.com CRM.

“In moving to Salesforce.com for the CRM requirements of the sales managers in our business units, it is critical to ensure that we deliver the same functionality as provided in our legacy CRM system while enjoying the flexibility and ease-of-use of SaaS CRM,” Galloway said in a statement.

Although Salesforce provides many key reports, Cloud9 will provide a better analytics solution. “Now our sales managers automatically receive these reports and the time Cloud9 saves in analytics administration enables us to focus on more strategic areas of the business,” Galloway said.

The use case is typical, added Swayne Hill, Cloud9’s president and CEO. Cloud9’s SaaS analytics platform is designed to let companies store and analyze historical data -- to drive sales and accelerate ability to realize revenue, he added.
