Leapfactor’s cloud-based platform does not require complex infrastructure and middleware, according to Leapfactor CEO Lionel Carrasco.  Leapfactor integrates with backend systems and delivers business data to any mobile user through consumer-like applications.

“Enterprises need to enable employees, partners and customers with timely access to data so that they can respond quickly and in an informed manner, but they face a complex set of choices about how to deliver this critical information to the proliferation of smartphones and mobile devices in use today,” Carrasco said in a statement.

Leapfactor’s platform lets businesses extract data from backend systems through light XML trading mechanisms and deliver it to the cloud through a secure data-exchange channel.  The data is then processed and forwarded to each user’s mobile device. Users can then access the data through consumer-like applications, Carrasco added.

Along with the platform, Leapfactor also released a suite of three ready-to-use apps -- Business Alerts, Business Indicators and Business Approvals. applications are provisioned through existing app stores and installed by end users directly on their preferred devices in seconds, just like their other favorite consumer apps.

“Enterprises need to enable employees, partners and customers with timely access to data, but they face a complex set of choices… of smartphones and mobile devices.”

The Business Alerts app cuts through the email logjam to deliver, escalate, route, track and trace important messages so users can make better and faster decisions.

The Business Indicators app sends business metrics to users on the go. The user is presented a series of analytics and interactive dashboards, including KPIs (key performance indicators), profit and loss reports, quotas, operational data, and other indicators.  The UIs can also be customized.

The Business Approvals app lets mobile users approve or reject such things as maintenance requests, travel expenses, purchase orders or sales agreements on the fly, streamlining processes, saving time and increasing productivity.

Inside Leapfactor’s Cloud-based Mobility Architecture
LeapFactor is a cloud-hosted service built over a solid SOA architecture that connects to simple data repositories or to sophisticated enterprise IT systems. Leapfactor is designed to allow IT to forgets about integration efforts, back-end systems, device compatibility or running complex middleware.

Leapfactor forwards and broadcasts staged digital content collected at your premises and delivers it to any designated consignees, on any Smartphone, and always with high availability based on a secure and scalable platform. Leapfactor's technology suite is comprised of four fundamental technologies:

  1. LeapApps, mobile micro apps that lets workers work on the go.
  2. LeapShell, a library of services and UI components to speed development.
  3. Leap Central, the company’s highly secure cloud-based service-processing component.
  4. LeapAgent, which securely connects and authenticates LeapCentral with your enterprise. The LeapAgent interfaces with existing IT backend systems through a “dealer,” which can be programmed in any language under any platform. It only exposes XML contracts and uses standard methods of communication
