CloudCon II Agenda:
Speakers Detail Cloud Adoption That Works
Last year, a Gartner survey found more half of existing SaaS customers (56%) were considering unplugging their SaaS and moving back to on-premise because “integration requirements became too significant.”

CloudCon II tackles these and other barriers to cloud adoption with executives from companies providing premise resources to cloud-based resources (and vice versa), and boost business impact from cloud projects.

IBM’s Cast Iron Systems
IBM made headlines earlier this year with its purchase of cloud integration platform company Cast Iron Systems.  Senior Vice President of Strategy & Marketing Simon Peel will provide an update on the IBM/Cast Iron integration, as well as details on how Cast Iron’s latest edition of OmniConnect delivers cloud-driven application integration, data migration, process integration, and UI mashup capabilities to and from SAP, salesforce.com, Oracle, Siebel and hundreds of other enterprise and SaaS applications.

Integration between the cloud and on-premise resources is “the #1 problem for both ‘adoption’ and ‘stickiness’ of cloud offerings” among enterprise managers, Peel said.

SAP
A top cloud executive from SAP, one of the world’s leading on-premise software companies, will detail its plans for marrying mission-critical ERP systems with emerging virtualization and cloud technologies.

SAP’s Kaj van de Loo, Senior Vice President Technology will detail SAP’s work to define and develop enabling technology, management tools, value-added services and outside partnerships to help customers assemble, deploy and manage existing SAP applications in virtualized data centers and the cloud.

“SAP is working to bring ‘on-premise’ solutions as near to the IT characteristics of ‘on-demand’ services as possible -- without requiring significant changes for existing SAP solutions,” Van de Loo said.  He will also discuss the 3 popular and different cloud models favored by customers.

Pervasive Software
Pervasive’s David Inbar, Director, Strategic Market Development in the company’s Office of the CTO will share “5 Laws of Data Integration in the Cloud,” developed after many customer cloud engagements.

Inbar will also describe Pervasive’s portfolio of solutions specifically aimed at making data integration to and with cloud resources easier, more reliable and scalable. Use case profiles will cover: Data transfers, ETL Various client data sources, Self service data sharing & data portals, Automation of data validation, and Automation of data imports.

Metastorm
Cloud’s impact on BPM (business process management) will be explored by Metastorm’s Kevin Haugh, Vice President of Product Management, who will discuss trends and opportunities in BPM-in-the-cloud.

Haugh will also discuss how it is empowering cloud-based collaboration with its just-released Metastorm M3 cloud-based modeling platform. Metastorm M3, built on Microsoft Windows Azure, brings together BPM, cloud and enterprise architecture requirements.

Metastorm M3 gives the full power to model business – not just processes – in a collaborative environment where all users can participate and share their knowledge.

OpSource
OpSource CEO Treb Ryan will describe how his firm provides a suite of enterprise-caliber  cloud technologies which bring management, security, reliability and visibility to cloud projects.

A truly business-critical cloud solution needs to combine availability, flexibility and community of the public cloud with the security, performance and control that the enterprise demands, Ryan said.  His CloudCon II presentation details how customers, including end user enterprises and SaaS firms, are bring private network safely, configurability and wire speeds to various cloud deployments.

Informatica
Darren Cunningham, VP of Marketing for Informatica Cloud will share point out what features enterprise users and ISVs should look for in a cloud-based data integration service, including capabilities for data migration, data synchronization, data replication and data quality.

Cunningham will also detail how customers are using the Informatica Cloud for a variety of mission-critical projects.  In 2006, Informatica announced a strategic roadmap for 'data integration as a service,' and today the Informatica Cloud now runs 50,000 integration jobs every day, representing more than 6 billion rows of data every month.

Attendees will also receive an executive level update on Informatica Cloud's portfolio, including easy-to-use multitenant cloud services, a powerful and scalable cloud platform and a wide range of connectivity solutions for critical enterprise resources (applications, databases and even discrete files.)
