Xignite’s Market Data Cloud Expands Global Reach
Xignite Inc. has added six new securities exchanges across the world to the market data cloud, providing applications and websites easy real-time access market data from exchanges and bourses in Switzerland, Ireland, Austria, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

With the new additions to its cloud-based market data environment, applications and websites can access real-time market data anytime from SIX Swiss Exchange, the Irish Stock Exchange, Wiener Börse AG, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), according to Xignite officials.
“Increasingly, large organizations are coming to us because they have a global presence and need global [on-demand] access to market data from any location, at any time and without heavy data management costs,´ said Stephane Dubois, CEO of Xignite, in a statement.
One exchange official commented on benefits of providing on-demand access to their data via the cloud.
Xignite’s cloud services will enable SIX Swiss Exchange’s market feeds to reach new customers worldwide and offer them lower data management costs, procedural efficiency and excellent connectivity, according to Ottavio Gisler, Head of Market Feeds & Data Distribution for SIX Exfeed Ltd, the data distribution unit of SIX Swiss Exchange.
Fiona Mackenzie, Head of Market Products for the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) also noted cloud benefits, saying Xignite’s approach can increase the number market data vendors distributing NZX data.
Xignite’s OnDemand offering provides these cloud-based data services:

To date, some 750 firms—including more than 250 global companies—use Xignite cloud-based data market data services, Dubois added.
