Virtusa Corp. a global IT services firm, is offering wide support for Pegasystems’ SmartPaaS BPM in the cloud offering.  Virtusa aims to speed rollouts and reduce costs of cloud-based BPM projects with consulting, implementation and management.

“Cloud-based BPM isn’t just a lofty prediction anymore,” said Vinaykumar Mummigatti, Vice President and BPM Practice Leader at Virtusa, in a statement, citing recent adoptions of Pegasystems’ SmartPaaS by financial services and healthcare firms. “We will leverage our cloud services offerings [and] expertise to help customers take advantage of SmartPaaS”

Virtusa first partnered with Pegasystems in 2003. The company is a charter member of Pegasystem’s partner program and employs more than 500 Pegasystems consultants.

Virtusa’s 3-prong approach to support BPM in the cloud includes:

  • Consulting: Virtusa consultants work with customers to assess their needs, craft a business case with clear ROI, educate them on BPM, and develop an implementation plan.
  • Implementation: Virtusa’s architects design and deploy the BPM application on the cloud as part of a system that includes security and policy management, load balancing and performance tuning.
  • Management: Virtusa’s management strategy involves infrastructure monitoring, disaster recovery, ticket management and performance and load monitoring.

Virtusa also recently shipped an upgrade to its own BPM suite including BPM Test Drive for Needs Assessment, Business Case and ROI.   This intensive three-week program, focused on BPM education, evaluation of challenges, business case creation, prototype development and technology evaluation and recommendation, establishes a framework for a client’s successful BPM engagement

Virtusa also offers a packaged Business Process Competency Center, a process management platform that helps enterprises successfully implement their BPM initiatives.
