Saperion Upgrades ECM System for Integration

Saperion is shipping version 6 of its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system, which sports a SOA-based open architecture designed to let companies more quickly develop and customize new products and integrate with existing systems.

Saperion is shipping version 6 of its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system, which sports a SOA-based open architecture designed to let companies more quickly develop and customize new products and integrate with existing systems.

Saperion 6 is based on the Java Content Repository industry standard, and uses SOA and APIs to support ECM integration to legacy corporate assets.

Saperion 6 is designed to provide companies a "centralized platform for all [their] content management requirements´ and uses platform-independent and flexible technologies, said Henning Emmrich, Saperion's director of marketing.

Saperion 6 features content repository and upgraded records management functions, Emmrich said.

  • Content Repository allows enterprises to save, search, read, change, and revise all types of content through one standardized interface. The Content Repository can handle datasets, Office documents, web pages, e-mails, and revised programming codes.

  • Upgraded Records Management allow users to stay in legal compliance even in the face of rapidly changing standards and requirements. It also helps companies comply with general policies for retention periods and rules for destruction of documents. Additionally the records management function helps enterprises keep their relevant documents accessible at all times.
