Fiorano Adds REST, Security To Middleware OfferingsFiorano Software is shipping an updated version of its enterprise messaging and integration Fiorano SOA and FioranoMQ middleware infrastructure, adding REST support and security enhancements. The company also updated its Eclipse-based tools.

Fiorano SOA 9.3 now offers support REST (representational state transfer) services, as well as security enhancement for Web-Services, HTTP and other adapters. Fiorano’s REST support offers high-performance, linear scalability, simplicity and helps deliver enterprise-grade security and reliability, said Atul Saini, CTO, Fiorano Software Inc., in a statement.

“These latest releases add important enhancements, including REST, Eclipse and security, to…the Fiorano SOA Platform,” said Atul Saini, CTO, Fiorano Software Inc., in a statement. The features will help enterprise architects start or expand their SOA projects, he added.

FioranoMQ 9.3 JMS Server adds support for .NET logging and client-side persistence to simplify dev for .NET clients.   It also boosts performance for both pub/sub and point-to-point applications in a secure environment; improves client-side persistence; optimizes LDAP integration for high-availability; and uses multi-byte characters for object names and configurations.

A C# RTL logging implementation uses Microsoft’s .NET Framework “trace listeners” and “trace switches” to externally control the log levels through the application configuration files.

These latest features build upon FioranoMQ JMS Server current architecture features,  including:

  • XML Interoperability – Transforms a JMS message into an XML format, allowing JMS applications to easily communicate with any external system, including legacy and ERP applications.
  • LDAP Integration – Allows users to store and access directory information and services in a standard LDAP server, through seamless LDAP server integration.
  • XML Content Based Routing – Offers a powerful message selection tool based on the actual content of the message, along with the traditional JMS message selection that is based on JMS Message properties.

Fiorano’s new Eclipse-based tools feature these upgrades

  • Named Configurations can more quickly and accurately configures complex flows
  • MX connections simplify server management
  • Updates to document tracking, component creation, backlog monitoring and dashboard features
