Singularity is shipping an update to its TotalAgility suite for BPM and case management. TotalAgility 5.1 adds integration with Microsoft Lync2010 for a wide range of collaboration capabilities, ranging from process design to live ‘in flight’ case management.
Singularity’s TotalAgility focuses on improving productivity across the entire business process management / case management lifecycle, with technologies, tools and integrations to support both process designers and process participants, according to Peter Whibley, Singularity product marketing manager.
One key upgrade is TotalAgility 5.1’s integration with Microsoft’s Lync2010 instant messaging, presence, conferencing and mobility capabilities. Connecting Lync2010 with TotalAgility Builder (for process design) and TotalAgility Workspace (for process execution), Whibley said process designers can now collaborate with peers via the IM, voice, video and conferencing features of Lync, Whibley said.
In addition, whiteboarding and sharing (desktop and applications) can help ensure continuous process improvements, as participants can instantly report process issues, provide immediate customer feedback and recommend process improvements to designers.
Tying TotalAgility with Lync2010 also delivers what he called “guided collaboration” within a case or instance of a process. This allows process participants to direct contact colleagues as needed, based on their role, expertise or the stage of a process.
Under the covers, TotalAgility 5.1 is based on the company’s “zero code” environment, designed to let customers deliver faster and more frequent process innovation without expensive reliance on I.T. delivered, code based changes. It also allows users to rapidly make “in flight” process changes to existing processes to response to market influences or business requirements – all without downtime or sophisticated IT staff.
Whibley offered an example of Lynch2010 support combined with TotalAgility’s core code-free architecture can stimulate in-process collaboration in real time to show business benefits.
The combination will show a process worker the contact details and presence status of any expert, case owner, process designer or other important stakeholder – all within the context of a specific case. This allows real-time queries to be routed to the most appropriate person during an active process.
TotalAgility 5.1 provides off-the-shelf integration and standards compliance with Microsoft SharePoint, HP TRIM, Microsoft Dynamics, Visio and Office Communicator. It also sports new multi-lingual web form support to allow customers to roll out multi-language web form solutions globally without any language and regional restrictions. Language selector controls on the web form enable users to select what language the form is displayed in.
