Datapipe, LinkSource and Masergy Team Up to Secure Private Clouds
Datapipe, a provider of managed services and data center infrastructure for IT and cloud computing, MASERGY, a provider of secure virtualized network services to enterprises, and LinkSource Technologies, a provider of IT consulting services are teaming up to secure private clouds for global use.
Datapipe, a provider of managed services and data center infrastructure for IT and cloud computing, LinkSource Technologies, a provider of telecommunications and IT consulting services, and MASERGY, a provider of secure virtualized network services to enterprises, have teamed up to secure private clouds for global use.
In specific, the three companies will partner to deliver a Class of Service (CoS)-enabled Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) connection that uses Stratosphere, Datapipe's global cloud computing platform, infrastructure and managed services. Customers can use Datapipe’s cloud services as additional compute nodes on their private, secure, Masergy-powered, MPLS network, officials said.
The partnership allows the three companies to better coordinate to deliver a managed and high performance cloud platform to help customers securely manage their bandwidth, enhance ROI and provide access to more global connectivity options.
The partnership’s cloud alliance covers several key aspects of securing private cloud for enterprise needs, including:
- Security—Allows applications to run on a private network without coding or encryption.
- Flexibility—Allows priority applications to be assigned to a higher service plane so they can be protected from congestion across the local loop.
- Simplicity—Supports entire enterprise application deployment on a single corporate network.
- Scalability—Allows companies to control bandwidth with no additional circuits or hardware.
- Performance—Allows companies to prioritize their corporate applications across six unique CoS (Class of Service) levels for improved application transport.
“Enterprise level clients require hands-on expertise and day to day management of their cloud computing infrastructure,” said Mark Cravotta, vice-president of worldwide sales at Datapipe, in a statement.
Geoff Kreiling, Masergy product manager said the partnership will give enterprises seamless connectivity, improved visibility and control of their data and ensure that migrating corporate data from their current infrastructures to a cloud environment happens smoothly. The partnership will also help Masergy extend its client offerings beyond its IP-based network and provide cloud services with bandwidth management to its enterprise customers.
