Forrester Research will hold its Enterprise Architecture Forum 2011 this month in San Francisco, where dozens of experts will gather to help IT professionals achieve a more effective and integrated understanding of business, information, and technology architecture for business success.
This year’s Forrester EA Forum has the theme “Harnessing Process, Information and Technology for Business Impact.” The focus will be to show attendees how today's most successful companies are succeeding in the new economic environment by modernizing their traditional approach to IT and business alignment.

“In most organizations, processes are uncharted; the available information is unreliable; and technology has created stovepipes, not integrated platforms for business execution,” Forrester said.
Forrester’s EA Forum will, map a path to success by showing attendees how to “continuously” refine and adapt core business processes, as well as how to more effectively couple their information and technology to these updateable processes.
The Forester EA Forum 2011 features four (4) main tracks:
- Forrester’s Guide to Identifying and Watching Key Technology Trends. In this track, Forrester’s top analysts will discuss the latest technology trends — that will affect your organization, tell you what the impact could be, and advise you on how to prepare. Featured technologies include cloud-based services, pervasive business intelligence (BI) and new collaboration capabilities.
- Connecting Business Process and Business Architecture. This “how-to” track will feature sessions on linking business process and business architecture efforts and leveraging the results. IT will also cover the methodologies that EA and Business Process Professionals use to develop integrated programs for business and IT change.
- Creating Business-Driven Technology Strategies. This track will cut through the theory to show how to create business-driven information, application, and technology architecture and strategies that position IT for greater value.
- Learning Best Practices from EA Award Winners.Forrester, in conjunction with InfoWorld Magazine, has identified five leading EA organizations. This track will feature case studies and best practices from the EA award winners and Forrester analysts and highlight the practices that all EA organizations should adopt. Speakers scheduled to appear are from Aetna, Barclays, and Discover Financial Services.
