Jungo to Showcase Automotive Connectivity Middleware at CES 2011 
Jungo Ltd. will debut an in-car mobile middleware solution in January for any smartphone or Internet device. Automotive Connectivity Middleware (ACM) provides complete protocol stacks and rich media and phone management software and also supports easy integration with mapping and telematics applications.
Jungo Ltd. will debut an in-car mobile middleware solution in January for any smartphone or Internet device. Automotive Connectivity Middleware (ACM) provides complete protocol stacks and rich media and phone management software and also supports easy integration with mapping and telematics applications.
Automotive Connectivity Middleware (ACM) will make it easier for manufacturers of in-car infotainment systems to include connectivity features directly into products and get them to market quickly, according to Jungo Connectivity Software General Manager Ophir Herbst.
“Jungo’s Automotive Connectivity Middleware is a mature and field-tested solution for connecting head units to any device, on top of any protocol, within a rich phone and media application framework,” said Herbst said in a statement.
Jungo’s ACM’s rich media connectivity framework provides:
- Connectivity to any device: iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android devices, MTP devices and media players (including iPod Out and Terminal Mode protocols)
- Connectivity on any protocol: USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G;
- Media management functions (indexing, streaming, playback),
- Phone management (placing calls, phonebook management) and
- Internet connectivity software.
ACM is designed as an “open platform,” Herbst added, allowing OEMs use the same code-base across different platforms. It supports Linux, Android, QNX, Windows CE, ulTRON other popular operating systems used in in-car infotainment systems.
Jungo’s ACM will debut at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
