Salford Systems Launches Predictive Modeling Software Suite
Salford Systems, a provider of data mining and predictive analytics software, has launched its Salford Predictive Modeling (SPM) software suite. Along with automation and modeling capabilities, SPM combines four software products into a single suite to give users a full range of tools to solve any of their business predictive challenges.
SPM aims to provide users a platform for developing predictive, descriptive and analytical models using large and complex databases, according to CEO Dan Steinberg. The suite speeds up model generation because it automatically sifts through databases to isolate important patterns and relationships, he added.
Along with automation and modeling capabilities, SPM combines four software products into a single suite to give users a full range of tools to solve any of their business predictive challenges. The SPM suite includes:
- CART (Classification and Regression Trees). CART analyzes large and complex databases then generates classification and regression trees to quickly reveal important data patterns and relationships that might otherwise remain hidden using other analytical tools.
- TreeNet. This proprietary technology is the underpinning of major recent advances in fraud detection, targeted marketing, and risk modeling. TreeNet lets users create accurate, targeted marketing models as well as identify ultra-high lift segments with very little analyst input. TreeNet can also work effectively with dirty and erroneous data, separating problematic from reliable information.
- MARS (Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines). This can be used by users who want their results in a form similar to traditional regression while capturing essential nonlinearities and interactions. MARS can predict continuous numeric outcomes as well as probability models for yes/no outcomes.
- RandomForests. This feature is best suited for analyzing complex data structures embedded in small-to-moderate data sets for deep understanding.
SPM components working together accelerate accurate, robust model generation by automatically sifting through such databases to isolate significant patterns and relationships, and can be used by both technical and non-technical users, Steinberg added.
Pricing for the SPM Suite starts at $20,000.
