CDC Software Corp. is rolling out updated versions of its cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) suites to help non-profit and government organizations reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve satisfaction with their constituents.
The SaaS solutions are available as CDC gomembers v4 and CDC 4gov 10.0 “These SaaS solutions provide the government and [not-for-profit] sectors with specific functionality that addresses their unique daily processes with a low total cost of ownership,” said Paul Plaia, president of the CDC’s gomembers product line in a statement.
CDC gomembers is an enterprise and association management suite of solutions for on-premise or cloud deployments. Their main audiences include trade groups, professional societies, association management firms, as well as not-for-profit organizations, hospitals, colleges and universities, certification bodies, and fundraising groups. .
CDC gomembers v4 upgrade includes and updated UI, a 360-degree view of all member and constituent information and updates to improve PayPal reporting and integration, Plaia said. The upgrade also sports new add-on modules for:
- Chapter management so organizations can manage the constituent information of each chapter;
- Change company so organizations with multiple financial entities, (such as foundations and NFPs), can manage all of the information related to each of those entities;
- Certification/recertification that lets users apply for and manage all of the information regarding any certification programs they offer

CDC 4gov is SaaS-based financial management system for state and local governments and other public sector organizations. It offers a suite of 23 basic financial management, data management and core administrative applications for governments, including general ledger, grant, project and cost accounting, budget preparation, purchasing and accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll and HR, billing and accounts receivable, cash receipts, ePay, and other functionality specific to public sector organizations.
The CDC 4gov v10.0 upgrade sports an updated UI, including new “dynamic individual user menus,” which allow workers to more quickly and easily see all of the information relevant to their roles. The upgrade also offers:
- New transactional grids with improved searching and sorting capabilities; and
- CDC Vitova, a document management system that captures, indexes, searches and archives information securely. Documents can be in paper, e-mail, fax or Microsoft Word/Excel format.
CDC’s SaaS announced upgrades come as the company also confirmed it intends to acquire a yet-to-be-named provider of SaaS-Based event registration and management to not-for-profits and trade associations. “We believe this targeted acquisition would add key functionality to our gomembers solutions that could help enhance our customers’ marketing, event signups and membership renewals,” Plaia said in a statement.
Last summer, CDC Software acquired Information Development Consultants, Inc. (iDC), a SaaS-based ERP software solution provider to state and local government and not-for-profit (NFP) markets. At that time, CDC executives stated the iDC offerings would be integrated into its gomembers offering and that the company would continue on a “SaaS roll-up strategy to significantly expand the market footprint of its CDC gomembers cloud-based enterprise software solution.”
