HP is offering a new design service to help organizations design and deploy scalable, cloud-based infrastructures, for private, public or hybrid approaches. The HP Cloud Design Service aims to let companies launch clouds faster with less risk.
HP aims to take the risk and confusion out of moving to a cloud-based infrastructure with its new HP Cloud Design Service. The service supports design to deployment for private, public and hybrid clouds.
“Organizations of all types are struggling to understand how to build a cloud-specific infrastructure that is safe and effective while meeting their business objectives,” said Alan Wilson, vice president with HP’s Solutions Infrastructure Practice, Technology Services, in a statement.
Inside the HP’s Cloud Design Service
The HP Cloud Design Service will:
- Assess a customer’s existing technology (HP and non-HP resources) workloads, people and processes to analyze and evaluate its existing infrastructure.
- Then, HP’s design blueprint and implementation plan will compare the customer’s current set-up with its needs, and then design a custom cloud infrastructure and implementation plan specifically for that customer.
- The resulting cloud plan will include cost estimates, guidelines for deployment, testing, operational management, service life cycle management, governance and support.
- To aid in these calculations, HP’s Cloud Design Service will also use planning and analysis tools designed by HP Labs and ITIL v3 for best practices to design a customer’s cloud system.
Pricing for the HP Cloud Design Service is based on a customer’s specific requirements.
